Pavilion, part of OLM Group, has announced the appointment of ex Haymarket board director, Nick Stimpson as its new managing director. As a leading publisher within the health and social care sector the new appointment is strategically important to the organisation's growth and development plans.
Pavilion is one of the largest publishers within the social and health care sector and has in excess of 20 years' experience with flagship publications including Mental Health Today and Learning Disability Today magazines. Its portfolio includes social care publishing, professional training materials, specialist events and national conferencing. As an established publisher the company aims to further strengthen its enviable position within the market through this latest appointment.
Nick has built a significant element of his career at Haymarket Media group where he held a number of prominent posts from sales director to group board member. With more than 25 years proven editorial and commercial experience in the broad B2B publishing market, Nick is ideally placed to lead Pavilion to future success. "Pavilion is an established brand within OLM Group and part of my role is to strengthen the position of an already highly credible company; it is a challenging and exciting project to lead," confirmed Nick.
With the additional acquisition of Keyways Publishing earlier this year the combined portfolio of publishing products now spans a wide range of sectors including: fire; police; emergency planning; education; as well as health and social care. Nick will work closely with other Pavilion directors and prominent industry figures to lead the development of Pavilion's strategy to offer customers an integrated communication and media service embracing online, offline and face to face experiences.
Peter O' Hara, CEO, OLM Group said: "I am really excited about Nick joining to lead thjs key business within OLM Group. His previous experience and reputation makes him a key asset to help us realise our vision for Pavilion. Nick joins a highly motivated and committed team and I believe he will help shape a future that will exceed our customers' ambition and imagination.
