CareFirst User Group
The CareFirst User Group is made up of representatives from local authorities who have purchased CareFirst. It has a national framework which seeks to pull together the diverse interests of its members through special interest groups and subgroups, with a Scottish and Welsh section. This allows for developing representative views to enhance partnership working with OLM, DOH, Scottish Executive and Welsh Assembly. It is an independent body and is funded by the contributing authorities in order to represent their interests.
The User Group has three annual meetings and meets at different locations throughout the UK. The Annual General Meeting decides the Chair and business for the year. This years topics are Partnership Working, Information Governance, and the Future of Children's Services. Key speakers are invited from DOH to address the meetings followed by discussion with OLM and User Group Members.
All versions of CareFirst are catered for and the group has the following principal aims:
- To hold regular special interest groups to focus on specific product areas
- To hold four annual conferences which will provide a forum to meet other members together with OLM and Government bodies to review the latest developments and share information
- To provide a formal channel for the submission of product enhancement requests to OLM and the ability to influence the priority with which these are addressed by OLM
