CareAssess

CareAssess is the assessment framework within CareFirst to provide social workers with a fully configurable and flexible assessment framework which enables social care organisations to design their own assessment forms securely and reliably within CareFirst. Once designed, these forms are easily deployed to practitioners enabling them to complete, store, view and share those assessments. During the design and development of CareAssess, OLM have been mindful of the need to create a truly flexible assessment toolkit to meet the existing and emerging requirements for assessment frameworks such as the Integrated Children's System, the Single Assessment Process/Single Shared Assessment/Unified Assessment Process and the Common Assessment Framework.

CareAssess provides a wealth of functionality including the ability to:

Create assessments forms with locally defined questions
Change the order of the questions and determine which questions are mandatory
Create additional question types not recorded in standard CareFirst forms
Optional ability to update CareFirst data, for example classifications and observations
Utilise existing fields within the CareFirst application to create picklist options
Pre-populate fields in the assessment forms from CareFirst data (eg; biographical details)
Create weighting enabling the scoring of assessments to help determine care requirements
Record an assessment by completing the questions presented on the assessment form
View and update previous assessments
Print and email assessments
