The introduction of DoLS places significant responsibility on Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). They now hold a legal responsibility to identify when and how deprivation of liberty may be authorised. Taking the complexity out of the recording required to manage this process is a challenge for all stakeholders involved.
We have developed systems, processes and methodologies to support the recording and decision making of local authorities and PCT’s around depriving individuals liberty and are currently in the process of rolling these out.
